project details
Located at the edge of the Great Otway National Park and 5kms outside of Apollo Bay, the elevated site is positioned on the south side of the Great Ocean Road providing uninterrupted panoramic views over the immediate site and over the Bass Strait Ocean beyond.
The Wildlife Visitor Centre concept is an organic shaped design through the use of curving rendered walls, roof and earth berms which ensure the built form seamlessly blends in within its surroundings. Guests can experience the natural beauty of the surroundings whilst visual built forms are minimised.
A conservationist guide will accompany guests on a guided walk through the magical natural setting, sharing expert knowledge of the bush, plants and animals who call the Otways home.
